The legendary Roland
Juno-106
The Juno-106 emerged to become the most famous of Roland’s Juno series and was the first one with MIDI. Released in 1984, it was a polyphonic digital-analog hybrid synthesizer with digitally controlled oscillators and envelopes but analog filters and signal processing.Â
One of the most famous features was the Juno’s super fat sounding onboard stereo chorus. The Juno-106 advanced to one of the most iconic 80s synthesizers and can be heard on countless records since then. It has been used by Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Laurent Garnier, Inner City, Infected Mushroom, 808 State, George Michael, Moby, The Pet Shop Boys and many more.
