The Jen Electronics SX 1000 is a very minimalistic italian monosynth, released in 1978. It is really very much reduced to a synths basic functionality: one analog DCO with saw, square and pulse waves, PWM, vibrato, LFO modulation, one 12dB/octave analog filter, glide effect, a pink/white noise generator, two ADSRs, that’s pretty much it!
No pitch bend wheel, no external controls, obviously no MIDI, no arp, no sequencer and no storage. But this thing has been an amazing entry level synth throughout the early 80s and just so well versed when it comes to screaming lead sounds!
